Did you know that scrubbing sponges labeled "delicate" or "non scratch" can still scratch? Yep. I've had both of these types scratch multiple types of surfaces including glass, plastic and counters (that are not made of stone). The "non scratch" scrubbing sponges are usually blue and the delicate scrubbing sponges are usually pink. In my experience the best sponges to use for scratch resistance are the sponges labeled "eco" sponges and are usually brown. In addition, the Mr. Clean type of cleaning sponges are great at getting off soap scum and permanent markings from surfaces. They do however take off a bit of the surface as well. (like on non stone counters) They work well on soap scum, but take a while. A good old fashioned powder cleaner works better and faster (like Comet). Make sure to use plenty of water with the powder paired with an eco scrubbing sponge. Try a liquid form of the Comet to ensure no scratching.
