Saving money not only comes in the form of how much it costs to hire your cleaning service, but how much and how often you will need to replace parts of your home. Keeping your house clean is an everyday adventure. The more you clean up after your family, the less wear and tear on your home. As an example, shower doors are a big item that wears out quickly and costs a bit to replace, not to mention, they look terrible if not kept up, and mold inevitably grows around the trim and hardware as well.

In my experience, it does not matter what kind of glass you have, your warranty, or what the contractor tells you about how to clean them, water will adhere to them causing unsightly water spots. These will build up over time and are impossible to get rid of. Mold grows on the hardware and in the cracks and corners. This is not only unsightly, but unhealthy.

How is this prevented? A great start to keeping your doors clean and healthy, is to use a squeegee. The best preventive is to use a daily shower cleaner. There are even all natural alternatives. Not only will this save you money by making your doors last longer, but it will save you money in the home cleaning department. Your cleaning service will not have to scrub as long or hard and will be able to complete the cleaning of your shower in less time and effort, saving you money.
